Hanson Hunting offers guided and self-guided pheasant, whitetail deer, high fence deer, and waterfowl hunts on private land near Bath, South Dakota, and runs Sand Lake Campground in Columbia, South Dakota.
Carl Hanson
Carl is the third generation to farm this land, and he knows it inside and out. In the early 2000s he opened the land he has loved his whole life to other hunters, so they could experience it the way he does.
He runs the hunts, raises the high fence deer, builds the deer stands, and answers the phone himself.
The farm is about 10 miles east of Aberdeen, where you can find lodging, restaurants, and outdoor stores.

CRP, shelterbelts, food plots, sloughs, river bottom, and a pond. Fawns get hand fed, the river gets boated, and the pond gets fished.
